President – Emily Chen

Hello! I’m Emily Chen, a fourth-year student studying Political Science and Diaspora.
I will be serving as UTJA’s President and will work to ensure that our events will be a fun, positive worthwhile experience. At our events, I hope everyone can enjoy learning about Japanese culture/the Japanese language and meet some new friends in the process!
On the occasion that I get to travel to Japan, my favorite things include going to the hot springs (onsen) and gorging on Japanese sweets.
I’m always eager to find new opportunities for the UTJA community, so please feel free to reach out to me at our future events.
